I dreamt of you once...All clad in iron nothing but your eyes, a solemn pair a shade that should have been icy, biting, but glowed warm. I dreamt of you just once, all whispy clouds of cumulus and nimbus a mist--
or a haze that settled gently around your silhouette, a steel shade not uninviting but solid and safe.
This tiny body laid solemn in those arms, these eyes looked into those. These lids lifted heavy, wet, dark.

How. Could you bitch and moan and complain for years.
But all of a sudden the twin towers makes everyone a fucking soldier with a purple heart.
A little flag waving from your car does NOT make you a warrior.

An Honoree.
Thousand of people dead shouldnt have to be the catalyst for people to realize there are more important things in life.

Our Kam passed yesterday.
THe most wonderful snake we could ever ask for.
I remember bringing him home and him wrapping himself as tight as he could
around our fingers in the car.
He didn't want to be put down.
A whole month dedicated to picking the perfect name. For a perfect pet.
Kamaaina.
I remember him slithering in between Brad and I.
Burrowing himself betweem us.
While we watched tv, ate, sat around.
Watching Brad organize his tank time and time again.
Trying to find new things he liked.
He sat in my lap while I did homework.

I love you Kam.
I'll miss you terribly.
Your irreplacable.
